Songs for Book - October 21, 2011

Kim Krenik

I recently took on a new project - writing songs for a book that is currently being written.   The songs reflect situations the characters are going through.

The book is entitled Walk of the Red Wolf.

More info to come.... I will very soon be posting the songs and selling them on iTunes.

10 year celebration! - October 11, 2011

We celebrated our church's 10 year anniversary in September 2011.  It was a powerful, moving day.

I recalled that 10 years ago I was barren, and desperately longing for children.  Within the year our church began, God allowed me to become pregnant.   I also recalled the first time I ever felt my baby move inside me:  during a worship time at our church's first baptism!

To my husband's and my surprise, our little baby miracle - who is now 8 years old - felt very impressed upon to become baptized at the 10 year anniversary. I believe this was all the Lord's divine orchestration: every moment so specifically set and coinciding with key dates and times in our church's history.  Only our God is able to orchestrate events and moments in such a way.

The day was truly glorious.  People shared cardboard testimonies,  many more were baptized, we sang to the King of kings all afternoon,  and a neighbor came by to find out what the party was all about,  and stayed for the afternoon.

It was a joyous celebration of God's faithfulness to the people of this church. God is faithful despite our own mistakes and shortcomings.  He actually uses crumpled up, tattered, beaten up wreckage to parade His love to the world.  The irony of that is unbelievable at times.  Yet our God's ways are not our ways.

The 10 year anniversary was a day when we recounted the ways our God has rescued us. We remembered and reflected on all that He has accomplished.  So often we feel abandoned by Him,  yet he is ever-present.

And the journey is only beginning...
